Class will take place on February 2nd from 10am — 12:30 pm at the Toolbox Collective: 3400 42nd Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55406

This listing is for admission to an in-person workshop: Intro to Blockprinting, with a focus on creating your own custom Valentines (however, you’ll have the freedom to create any block you desire).

This is a great class for beginners! I'll walk you through the steps of creating your own custom stamp, from sketching, transferring your drawing to rubber, carving, and printing. The possibilities are endless. I can't wait to see what you make!

During class, we will use the following supplies:

✵ 4x6" block of pink Speedy Carve rubber

✵ Speedball carving tool with 5 gouges 

✵ black stamp pad (which you can take home after class)

✵ soft lead pencil

✵ sketch paper and colorful printing paper

I will help you create a custom Valentine design, which you can print a stack of to take home and mail to your loved ones. You can also bring home your stamp pads and some colorful paper to keep printing after class. I love Valentines, and I love blockprinting, so I anticipate this being a really fun class!

There is plenty of street parking near the Toolbox Collective, and it’s also conveniently located across the street from Turtle Bread, so you could get breakfast before class, lunch after, or a hot beverage to bring.
