Class will take place on Sunday May 26th, 2024, from 1-3:30 PM in person at the Hewing Hotel. 300 N Washington Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55401

This listing is for admission to an in-person workshop: Intro to Blockprinting, with a focus on creating a spring-themed print. This is a great class for beginners! I'll walk you through the steps of creating your own custom stamp(s), from sketching, transferring your drawing to rubber, carving, and printing. The possibilities are endless. I can't wait to see what you make!

During class, we will use the following supplies:

✵ 4x6" block of pink Speedy Carve rubber

✵ Speedball carving tool with 5 gouges 

✵ black stamp pad (which you can take home after class)

✵ soft lead pencil

✵ sketch paper and colorful printing paper

I will help you create a custom design, which you can print a stack of to take home, display, and share with loved ones. You can also bring home your stamp pads and some colorful paper to continue printing after class. I will also send a group email after class with details on all the supplies we used plus some extra recommendations. 

The Hewing Hotel is located in the North Loop in downtown Minneapolis. We’ve timed class so you can find a great lunch spot nearby before class, or have a drink after. The bar at the Hewing is really cozy and special! Find a friend to sign up with and I’ll see you on May 26th.
